Athena 3 - on departure
As soon as the sun goes down
I talked with the long black ship crew
The new recruits are all young and eager
To launch for unknown adventures
I will need to bolster their courage
To face the ordeals
AwaitIng them on the deep seas.
Then I went back to the palace
And poured a sleeping draught
To the pretenders that none
Could fight off , I'm good at those
Telemachus and I returned to the boat
To call on the sailors to load the ship
With the supplies prepared by Euryclee
From the palace store rooms
None saw us, it was done in the greatest secret
I called to a zephyr to fill the red sails
We were on our way
The crew dutifully thanked me
By offering the prescribed libation
I am in the game.
