Athena 2 at Ithaca

I, Athena, daughter of the mighty Zeus
Have to disguise myself
When dealing with mortals
For they can't stand 
My august radiance
I morph from Mentes to Mentor
In order to counsel Telemachus 
Sired by Odysseus and Penelope
True, he is young and weak
He needs mental support
I admit I advise him
To travel searching for his father whereabouts
For a year instead of waiting here
On the island of Ithaca 
I reiterate to him 
To ignore the pretenders
Those are already courted by Death
Furthermore under the guise of Mentor
I will get him a vessel and a crew
I have given the responsibility
To gather the food supplies
We shall leave by nightfall.

Athena 4- Grooming Telemachus, Pylos

When we arrived  at Pylos In which Nestor, the famed horse rider Resides once again I bolstered Telemachus' heart He had to remember he was on a rightful voyage He was searching for any news on his father's fate It was a noble quest, not to be shameful of  He is so shy that sometimes I wonder If I am not losing my mind He is so respectful of customs That he might not even dare to address  This ancient King surrounded by his large family.
